Salim-Sulaiman’s Khalipan for children of the world

Music composers Salim-Sulaiman launch ‘Khalipan’, a song dedicated to children across the world.

Bollywood’s prolific music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman have released a single to pay tribute to children around the world. Titled Khalipan, the single is meant to create awareness and instill compassion for children, painting a sordid picture of a world without children.

Speaking about the single, Salim Merchant commented, “In December 2014, both Sulaiman and I went through a change when we heard about the horrific attack on little children in a school in Peshawar. To imagine what the lives of the parents would be after their children never came back home that afternoon from school was indeed very traumatic. Their emptiness and the emptiness of thousands of families suffering without their near and dear ones especially children made us compose Khalipan. It’s a dedication to children of the world.”

The video for the new single will be promoted on their network on Qyuki, a multichannel digital broadcast network co-founded by Shekhar Kapur, Samir Bangara and AR Rahman. Qyuki’s artist network includes artists and bands like Raaga Trippin’, Slumgods, Dhruv Ghanekar, Bishwadeb Bhaumik, AR Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Salim-Sulaiman, Shweta Subram, and Youtubers like Shraddha Sharma, Gaurav Dagaonkar, Siddharth Slathia and lifestyle and entertainment channels like The Boss Dialogues, Film Companion and Eff n Bedi.
