Penguin Books India will be publishing the autobiography of Baba Ramdev next year, titled Being Baba Ramdev, with Uday Mahurkar.
In this definitive autobiography, Baba Ramdev will talk about his early life, his life in spirituality, passion for yoga, swadeshi and good health, setting up of Patanjali, dreams, ambitions as well as controversies. He will write the book with senior journalist Uday Mahurkar. Says the yoga guru, “A lot has been written about me by other people in the media. Now with my autobiography I will share with you the story of my life in my own words. I am delighted that Uday Mahurkar has agreed to write the book and that Milee Ashwarya from Penguin Random House India will be publishing it.’

Baba Ramdev is a world-renowned yoga Guru known for his work in ayurveda, swadeshi, business, politics and agriculture. He is best known for popularising yoga in India and abroad through his mass camps, bringing yoga for the first time to the commonest of people. His mix of yoga and ayurveda has brought about a perceptible change in health consciousness in the country, and has garnered him a massive following. He founded the Patanjali Group of Institutions in 2006 which symbolises the ‘Made in India’ brand and mirrors his swadeshi slogan. Uday Mahurkar is deputy editor, India Today, and has been associated with the magazine for 29 years.
