Hotel Fairmont Jaipur opened its grand doors for The Goodwill Shop’s “Shop For a Cause” exhibition-sale on Independence Day. Great hospitality and wonderful guests who dropped in at our stall for a chat, including a schoolgirl who wanted to invite us to her school…it was an experience to remember. We took with us kitsch products and artwork from Art Inc, an art gallery that also supports crafts for children on railway platforms (kids loved the colourful, painted glasses they could pick up free!); Anita Kohli’s polymer clay jewellery and figurines (Gandhi’s three monkeys were a hit!); Holy Cow Foundation’s joint pain oil, organic ghee, face packs and more; artwork and handmade rope baskets from Atulyakala, which supports deaf artists, dolls from Dolls4Tibet, which supports Tibetan refugee women in Dharamshala; eco-friendly games from Chalk and Chuckles and more! Here’s a look at some images from that day.
